Austroads Technical Specification ATS 3516 sets out the requirements for the supply and mixing of cementitious mortars and grouts used in applications such as:
- grouting of bridge bearings;
- grouting of column base plates (such as those used for gantry signs, cantilever signs and safety barrier posts);
- construction of bridge bearing levelling pads / pedestals; and
- grouting of tendons for post-tensioned concrete, grouting of soil nails and grouting of post-tensioned ground anchors.
It does not cover epoxy mortar or epoxy grout.
Refer to ATS 5340 for trowel applied cementitious mortars used in the patch repair of deteriorated or damaged concrete.
