Supply of Small Box Culverts

This Austroads Technical Specification ATS 2230 sets out the requirements for the supply of small precast reinforced concrete rectangular box culverts, up to 1200 mm wide and 1200 mm high, and associated link slabs. It excludes box culverts:
- which are subject to internal hydraulic pressure;
- which are placed under more than 2.0 metres of fill;
- where conformity is demonstrated by design instead of strength load testing (refer AS 1597.2);
- that are designated railway load class in accordance with AS 1597.1; or
- that are U shape culverts as defined in AS 1597.1.
