Some transport agencies are well advanced and evolving their NOPs to reflect the changing needs of network management and their users. Others, however, are yet to develop NOP processes.
As such, an introduction and context of the intent and process of NOPs is provided in this section.
It includes a definition of network operation planning, key steps to develop a NOP, the NOP's position within network development and management, and supporting network and project planning approaches.
