Alkali-Silica Reactivity of Aggregate – Accelerated Mortar Bar Test
  • Publication no: AGBT-T701-20

This Test Method determines the susceptibility of aggregate to an expansive reaction when mixed with cement in a concrete mix. It measures the change in length of representative mortar bars containing the aggregate under investigation during storage under prescribed test conditions.

This Test Method is not suitable for assessment for Alkali Carbonate Reactivity, which occurs less commonly than the Alkali Silica Reaction.
