This report details road and transport safety interventions that can reduce fatal and serious injury crashes in regional and remote areas.

A literature review expands on the Austroads National View on Regional and Remote Road Safety report by including material published since 2017.

A series of factsheets, based on evidence from the literature review, provide readers with a summary of known effective interventions and those which are showing promising signs of being effective. The factsheets provide a summary of the interventions, effectiveness (where this information is available), target behaviour and/or road user, application tips, implementation considerations, and other informative information.

Prioritisation and evaluation frameworks are provided to help readers to prioritise interventions, and evaluate and report on their effectiveness.

Star Ratings for Australian Arterial Roads by 2025

Austroads to deliver world first hazard perception test for heavy vehicle drivers
