Although there is considerable commonality of data among existing State and Territory road crash data collections, there is also much that is dissimilar. Lack of consistency in data collection reduces the potential to analyse recorded road crash data in a meaningful way. This report outlines a minimum common dataset for use in the description of road crashes in Australia.
