The Australasian Pedestrian Facility Selection Tool has been updated to include three revised economic parameters for New Zealand based projects.
The tool is used by around 1000 Australian and New Zealand practitioners each year to select the most appropriate type of pedestrian crossing based on walkability, safety and economic outcomes. Austroads is committed to regularly updating the parameters in the tool so that it remains current and accurate.
The changes to the tool incorporate periodic updates to the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Monetised Benefit and Cost Manual economic update factors.
The update is documented in Appendix F of the updated Australasian Pedestrian Facility Selection Tool [V2.2.2] User Guide.
