Austroads has delivered four new technical specifications detailing requirements for safety management systems, materials used in the construction of earthworks, subsurface drainage, as well as requirements for the installation of horizontal drains.
The newly released technical specifications are:
- ATS 1160 Safety Management Systems
- ATS 2160 Geotextiles (Separation and Filtration)
- ATS 2280 Horizontal Drains
- ATS 2285 Supply of Strip Filter and Subsurface Drainage Pipe
“These technical specifications have been developed to provide clear, concise and actionable guidance in line with contemporary construction practice,” said Ross Guppy, Austroads Transport Infrastructure Program Manager.
“Austroads technical specifications are produced in consultation with industry and jurisdictions. They represent the value and benefits associated with knowledge sharing and facilitate consistency across borders.”
