Austroads has delivered eight new technical specifications detailing guidance on earthworks and bearings associated with bridgeworks.
The newly released technical specifications are:
- ATS 5110: Earthworks for Bridgeworks
- ATS 5120: Construction of Reinforced Soil Structures
- ATS 5140: Post-Tensioned Ground Anchors
- ATS 5510: Supply of Plain Elastomeric Bearings
- ATS 5520: Supply of Laminated Elastomeric Bearings
- ATS 5530: Supply of Pot Bearings
- ATS 5540: Supply of Spherical Bearings
- ATS 5570: Installation of Bridge Bearings
ATS 5110, ATS 5120 and ATS5140 detail the requirements for backfill and excavation associated with bridgeworks, the construction of reinforced soil structures and the supply, assembly, installation, grouting, stressing and monitoring of post-tensioned ground anchors.
ATS5510, ATS 5520, ATS 5530, ATS 5540 and ATS 5570 describe the guidelines for the supply and installation of plain and laminated elastomeric bearings, pot bearings and spherical bearings.
