Austroads has published updated editions of the Guide to Pavement Technology Part 4F: Bituminous Binders and Part 4K: Selection and Design of Sprayed Seals.

This webinar will provide an overview of the key changes to the Guides and the significant advances in the areas of binder specifications and sprayed seal design.

You’ll learn about the improvements to the Guides including:

  • technical revisions to reflect current specifications, guidelines and best practice

Dr Young Choi is a Senior Technology Leader at ARRB, specialising in the area of pavement/surfacing materials.  He has over 20 years of experience in research and development in bituminous binder rheology, quality/performance of roadmaking materials, skid resistance-related safety of the road, traffic noise and road roughness measurement.

Steve Patrick is a Senior Professional Leader at ARRB, specialising in the area of pavement surfacings. He has 14 years of experience in research and development in sprayed sealing practices, bitumen sprayer calibration, related field testing, and the preparation of guidelines and standards.
