Austroads Technical Specification ATS 3050 sets out the minimum requirements for the manufacture and supply of recycled crushed glass (RCG) for use in the following applications:
- As a granular material, including:
- bedding and haunching of pipes and conduits
- side fill and backfill of pipes and conduits
- bedding and joint filling in block paving
- drainage medium applications
- embankment fill and earthworks applications
- landscaping applications
- partial aggregate replacement (mechanical stabilisation) for granular base and subbase material
- As a partial aggregate replacement in asphalt;
- As a partial fine aggregate replacement in concrete for:
- general works; and
- concrete pavement applications.
