Road Design

Edition 2.1 contains minor editorial and technical changes to Figure 1.1 and Sections 1.3, 1.4, 3.3, and 4.1.

Updates have been made throughout Edition 2.0 to include new and updated reference material. Specifically, editorial and technical updates have been made to sections on:

• road safety including the Safe System principles (Section 1.3).
• the cost and safety considerations for landscaping (Section 3.3.2, Section 3.3.3, Section 3.3.4).
• the safety aspects of roadside furniture (Section 4.1.3, Section 4.1.4, Section 4.1.6) and updates to the safety aspects of road lighting (Section 4.2.2).
