This report provides updated information on the competitive supply of roadworks to Government. It compliments a previous broad survey undertaken under National Transport Planning Framework and provides trend data to show a steadily increasing trend to increase the amount of roadworks that is supplied following a competitive bidding process. There is much less competition for maintenance work than other roadworks but this also is changing. The private sector is supplying the majority of roadworks on State and National roads and a very high proportion of that which is put to competitive bidding.
