Project Delivery

This document gives guidance to project delivery practitioners on the use of contracts for the delivery of projects. It is primarily for those who are gaining experience in contract management, however it will also be a useful reference for more experienced practitioners. It covers appropriate standards of practice and procedures for the management of contracts, defines contracts, and the documentation required to establish and administer a contract. The Guide discusses tendering, including inviting and assessing tenders, as well as details of awarding a contract. Contract administration is covered in depth, and includes contractual relationships and communications, records, quality system requirements, variations, extensions of time, claims, and disputes. It concludes with payments and completing the contract.
