This method describes the procedure for compacting cylindrical test specimens suitable for use in the determination of physical properties. The method is applicable to materials with a maximum nominal particle size of 40 mm (i.e. 100% passing the 37.5 mm sieve).
This method is an adaptation of the compaction process in the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads test method Q138 January 2017.
