Webinar: Transport Modelling for Project Managers
  • Publication no: WEB-R621-20
  • Published: 9 July 2020

This webinar, presented by Bryan Li on 9 July 2020, provides an overview of a resource designed to equip practitioners who may not have specific technical experience in transport modelling with clear and practical guidance to help make informed decisions when procuring modelling services or communicating the associated processes.

The session gives an overview of the report ‘Building Transport Modelling Management and Capability in Australasian Road and Transport Agencies – Simulation and Intersection Models’, its background, purpose and objectives. This report is currently under review. An industry stakeholder has asked us to consider changes to the model categorisation used in the report. The presenter details the stages of a typical modelling process and discusses the key features of simulation (mesoscopic and microscopic) and intersection transport models.

The session also includes worked examples to help participants understand how the document can be used to suit their project needs.

The presentation slides and the Q+A can be downloaded from the supporting documents tab after logging in.
