The 2016 Austroads Congestion and Reliability Review (AP-R534-16) measured the levels of congestion across major cities in Australia and New Zealand, assessed the key causes of congestion, and proposed an approach to identifying and assessing congestion interventions and ultimately developing a congestion mitigation roadmap.

This report extends on the previous research by capturing key strategies and initiatives Australian and New Zealand road agencies have implemented or are implementing.

Specific case studies are detailed in this report to support the knowledge transfer and sharing across the member organisations.
