These eight reports provide guidance on the provision of agency-owned data to connected and automated vehicles (CAVs).

Six high-priority data sets are addressed: roadworks, incidents, variable speed limit signs and lane control signals, static speed limits, traffic signals, and heavy vehicle access restrictions.

Each report presents a Data Provision Framework that can be used as a flexible tool by agencies to build capability in providing data to CAVs.

The Framework consists of three components:

  • a Capability Model which helps agencies evaluate their current data provision capability and establish a future target state
  • a Reference Conceptual Architecture to assist agencies develop the business and information systems architectures needed to achieve their target state
  • implementation guidance on use of the Capability Model and Reference Conceptual Architecture.

Austroads member agencies will benefit from adopting the Data Provision Framework as it will aid data provision capability planning, foster collaboration, and assist in the development of lower-level architectures, interoperability, standards and specifications.

The reports can be downloaded in a single PDF or separately.
