The Data Standard for Road Management and Investment provides road agencies and their suppliers, in Australia and New Zealand, with a specification for the data that supports common operational activities.

The Priority Datasets (PDS) of the Data Standard has been developed to promote the realisation of benefits from comparative road network performance reporting. It includes data items considered to be a priority for effective asset and maintenance management.

The PDS for Local Government has been revised for the purposes of this report to include a more targeted set of data better aligned to existing road manager practice. This report serves to outline the PDS its structure and provides guidance as to its application.
