This test method defines the procedure for conducting repeatability and bias measurement checks for roughness measurements made by an inertial profilometer.
The bias check included in this method is used to determine whether there is a systematic drift in an inertial profilometer’s measurements over time. It does not cover the collection of reference data from a separate measurement device.
