Overseas driver licensing policy review

This project will review the policies and arrangements relating to overseas licensed drivers in Australia and New Zealand, including those relating to permission to drive, conversion of overseas licences and recognition of overseas licences and driving experience, It will also synthesise existing studies relating to comparative road safety outcomes for overseas drivers. The project will develop a risk-based policy framework to guide further reform and harmonisation of overseas driver licence arrangements.
