This project will create a new part of the Guide to Project Delivery to give clear information about quality assurance (QA) to the road construction industry. Australian road agencies spend more than $4 billion per year on publicly and privately funded road construction. Most of this work requires QA contracts, but it is not known whether these QA contracts are effective and whether they increase the cost of road construction. The guide will include specific and practical information to help companies involved in road construction to take a consistent approach to QA contracts.
