ARRB knowledge transfer workshops in 2010

ARRB develops and delivers high level training workshops and explanatory seminars using internal technical experts, specialist consultants and road authority staff, many of which are based on Austroads publications.

Throughout 2010 ARRB is running a series of workshops throughout Australia and New Zealand covering subjects such as roundabouts, road network management, community road safety and bridge inspections.

CPEE knowledge transfer Short Courses and Distance Learning in 2010

CPEE delivers targeted specialised short courses and workshops in the roads and pavements technology field, using presenters acknowledged as authorities in their field from specialist consultants, industry practitioners and state road authority technology experts. This provides attendees with a quality blend of up-to-date knowledge, practical experience and interactive learning. Continuing professional development and enhancement of attendees' skills and capability are outcomes that provide excellent value.

The Courses are designed for intensive uptake of primary knowledge on the selected topic and provide an ideal base for further learning, or as an extensive induction to the topic. Those intending to undertake Distance Learning study also offered by CPEE, either by single units, or as part of a Post Graduate qualification (Grad Cert. or MTech. in the roads or pavements engineering field) will benefit from the Short Course overview of the more extensive learning associated with the detailed study associated with a Distance Learning Unit. The Distance Learning mode of delivery allows students to study while they work whether they are located around the corner or on the other side of the world.
